To truly understand what is needed for the future of Blessed Sacrament Parish, we began a series of surveys in the Fall of 2015. Interestingly, parish and school families identified similarly prioritized needs for our campus.
To ensure a balanced analysis of ideas and formulate the best approach to implement the plans, we formed a project Steering Committee. This inclusive and detailed planning process gave us a unified vision for the campus as a whole. It also allowed us to prioritize needs and determine project phasing. Our patient and thorough planning will ensure Blessed Sacrament remains a center of Catholic worship, education, and activity for Tallahassee.

• Phase 1 creates a unified campus, equally useful for both our parish and school families:
  • Expands the Parish Hall to double the floor space and add flexible class and meeting spaces. It includes a commercial kitchen to prepare lunch for Trinity students and serve large parish gatherings. Additionally, this phase will bring a much-needed elevator and more restroom facilities.
  • The Family Life Center provides space for large parish, school, and community events. Our Trinity Catholic students will also have a home court for sports and a place for the entire student body to assemble.
  • Water management and infrastructure improvements are essential elements of the project, which will improve parking, traffic flow, and campus security for our parishioners, students, and visitors. The project ensures we continue to be a good neighbor to others in Midtown. 
  • As funds are available, incremental additions to a comprehensive Early Childhood Education area will be made.
• Future Years:
  • Complete the Masterplan to include enclosing the atrium and multipurpose area, and creating a larger bookstore.
  • The Early Childhood Learning Village for children ages 2-5 will be completed.
